ACTIV LTD and ACTIV CAMPS LTD are sister companies that own Activ.ltd.uk, ActivAdventures.com, ActivChallenge.com (all owned by Activ Ltd), and ActivCamps.com (owned by Aciv Camps Ltd). From herein, Activcamps Ltd and Activ Ltd will be known as Activ (“we”) (“us”) (“our”) and all references to Actv Ltd will refer to the same conditions applied by Activ Camps Ltd. This privacy policy sets out how Activ uses and protects any information that you give Activ Ltd or Activ Camps Ltd when you use these websites.

At Activ we recognise the importance of your privacy and we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This policy (together with our terms and conditions and any other documents referred to on it) sets out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you , or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Activ is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website and the Products and/or Services provided by Activ then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

We may collect information about you to process your order. The type of information includes your name, address, phone number, e-mail address, credit/debit card details. We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. You can check the information with hold about you by e-mailing us. If you find any inaccuracies we will delete or correct it promptly. The personal information which we hold will be held securely in accordance with our internal security policy and governing UK law.

IP ADDRESSES AND COOKIES  

HOW WE USE COOKIES  
When you access our websites, your computer automatically sends us information such as the URL on our site you have visited, your IP address, your browser type and language, and the date and time of your request. This is statistical data about our users browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.
We use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used. This helps us analyse data about web page traffic and improve our website in order to tailor it to customer needs. We only use this information for statistical analysis purposes and then the data is removed from the system.

Our website does not contain links to other websites, other than to Paypal for payment purposes, outside the network of sites owned by Activ. By clicking on the Paypal link to take you to the payment site, you are leaving the Activcamps.com website. Activ has no control over the information collected by any third party after you have left the Activ's websites. Activ encourages you to read their privacy policies. The data collection and usage practices of any third party linked to Activ's wesbites are not covered by this Privacy Policy. Activ assumes no liability and is not responsible for any practices of such third party web sites, including their privacy practices or content.

WHERE WE STORE PERSONAL DATA  
Activcamps.com and Activchallenge.com collect personal information when you register on the sites or when booking, and this information is only used by Activcamps.com and sites owned by Activ Ltd in order to provide you with access to our products, services and information that we believe will interest you. Your information will be stored confidentially by us on our secure servers or within a relevant filing system within the meaning of the Act. Any online payment transactions will be encrypted using SSL technology. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorized access.

DEALING WITH YOUR FINANCIAL DETAILS  
You may decide to pay for our services over the phone or online using your credit card, or by cheque with a booking form. Please be assured that we do not store any financial details of any clients for any period of time. All credit or debit card numbers are cross-shredded once accepted by our online paypal service. We have constructed the paper booking forms to allow the credit card information to be separated from the booking information and cross-shredded once payment is processed.

CONTROLLING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION  
Your personal details will never be passed onto any other companies or third parties including affiliates and will never be added to any third party mailing lists or databases. You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. If you believe that any information we are holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please write to or email us as soon as possible, at the above address. CONTACTS WITH ACTIV CUSTOMERS  
We communicate with Activ customers on a regular basis via email to provide requested services, and we also communicate by phone to resolve customer complaints or investigate suspicious transactions. We use your email address to confirm your booking of an Activ event. Generally, users cannot opt out of these communications (see below for promotional emails and opt out options), but they will be primarily informational in nature rather than promotional.

USING YOUR DETAILS FOR PROMOTIONS  
We also use your email address to send you other types of communications that you can control, including the customer surveys and notice of special Activ Ltd and Activ Camps Ltd promotions. You can choose whether to receive some, all or none of these communications when you complete the booking form, or at any time thereafter by contacting Activ Ltd directly.
