What is an Activ Adventure Race?
If you are not sure what an adventure race is then this is the event for you. A fun filled day of cycling, running (or walking) and orienteering in teams of two or three (though three is best!) in the beautiful New Forest National Park. You will need to find check points (CPs), some by bike and others only by foot (novice navigators welcome) with loads of problem solving and physical/skill challenges along the way. You gain extra time for completing the many challenges so the event is not just about fitness. All activities are an excuse to have loads of fun in the outdoors.

Ability Level
This is a great event for all abilities and experiences, but Activ Adventures are particularly enjoyable for beginners and intermediates. Most of the teams on Activ Adventure Races are new to the world of adventure racing so novices will not feel out of their depth. Activ Adventure Races are designed simply to provide you with as much fun as possible in beautiful National Park environments. The race format provides you with options to do as much or as little running (or walking) and cycling as you like. The total distance covered on foot will be approximately 8-25km, depending on how many CPs you want to get to and 16-35km on the bike (again, dependent on the number of CPs you want to visit). You will have a set time to visit as many CPs as possible, and complete the challenges, so the number of CPs you visit is your choice. But don't be late back otherwise you will be penalised heavily! CPs hardest to find/reach will score your team bonus time. Completing challenges will score your team bonus time. Time penalties also awarded. The team finishing in the best time wins. Some trouser fillers, together with challenge tasks and mental tasks complete the day. And don't forget the social in the evening.
