Your questions, our answers:
24 Jan
CAN I USE A GPS UNIT ON THIS EVENT?
Ans: Purely map and compass for this event, when required. Our instructors are more than happy to help you with navigation techniques in the evenings prior to certain stages. Please do ask if you would like to take advantage of this free service. We want you to have a great time so we are more than happy to teach you skills as the event progresses.
26 Jan
SHOULD I BRING SOME FOOD ON THE EVENT? IF SO, WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?
Ans: We highly recommend you bring food with you on each stage. What you bring is really up to you but please be sensible. Essentially, think about energy requirements and hydration. Water is essential for every competitor and you will not be able to take part unless you have water with you on every stage. Best advice is to try foods during training. Do not expect your body to cope if you leave it to the event to find out what is best.

WHAT IS THE MOUNTAIN BIKING LIKE? WILL A NOVICE COPE?
Ans: Mountain biking in adventure racing tends to be non-technical, unless part of a physical challenge (but this will not be compulsory). Some sections of a route might be steep (and you might well find this part going downhill!).
