Activ Challenge :: Corporate Events

Activ prides itself on seeing through the tradition team building events and this is what makes our events different! Activ takes a 'bottoms up' approach and focuses on individual feedback so that teams become stronger as a result of better self awareness and interpersonal relationships through adventurous fun.

Novel Experiences
Activ also focuses on novel experiences that allow colleagues to share challenging and fun tales of adventure. Knowing your colleagues in different situations, and how they operate in 'out of the ordinary' environments, produces more dynamic relationships and achievement. We do not focus on the team but fun, shared experiences with a focus on the individual within the team!

The fun begins...

"The gorge walking yesterday…I hadn't been before…the camaraderie was so good, we were all helping each other out and able to share the experience with the whole group."

Our bespoke events are organised with three major factors in mind:

Three Energies          Three Countries          Three Durations

Three Energies: Decide whether you would prefer the relaxed, leisure option (clay pigeon shooting, wine tasting, learn to fish,and more...); or perhaps you would prefer a more energetic team challenge (physical and mental challenges in teams, mountain biking, kayaking, boat building, with some teamless activities including gorge walking), or maybe you would prefer the adrenaline option (all the outdoor activities at your fingertips at the extreme, adrenaline level).

Three Countries: There are 14 national parks in England, Scotland and Wales. You decide which of these fantastic locations you would like to visit.

Three Durations: Simply decide whether you want to go for 1, 2 or 3 days;

You decide and we will put your thoughts into action.

Leisure Option: A relaxed, leisure styled event for those wising to enjoy the company of colleagues in beautiful surroundings.

Team Challenge Option: Slightly more varied in intensity. Varied tasks allow the choice for team members to be active or less so but everyone completing mental and/or physical challenges to complete the team's overall goal. A balance between the Leisure and Adrenaline options. Team members can decide who does what, and there is always the chance for everynoe to do everything if they wish.

Adrenaline Option: Intense is the word. So to adrenaline, excitement and catharticism. You name the activity and we wil get your heart pumping. Ideal for smaller groups wishing to push themselves to their limits.

We are passionate about our National Parks and feel that they provide the perfect setting for individual, group and team events. Our 14 National Parks are home to some of the most spectacular and valued landscapes in Britain.

There are 9 National Parks in England, 3 in Wales and 2 in Scotland, they are:

England - Dartmoor, Exmoor, Lake District, New Forest, Northumberland, North York Moors, Peak District, the Yorkshire Dales and the Broads which has equivalent status to a National Park.
Wales - Brecon Beacons, Pembrokeshire Coast and Snowdonia
Scotland - Cairngorms and Loch Lomond and the Trossachs.

"Mountain biking and splashing through big muddy puddles whilst screaming like a 8 year old! Seeing the boys fall into the canal during the sausage boat race, they were rubbish!"

"Had a fantastic time, would definitely do it again I don't think I've laughed so much in a long time, my bodies aching from activities but my stomach is aching from laughing!"

"Think my favourite bit was the gorge walking, never thought id be able to do it but am so glad that I pushed myself into it..."

"Thank you so much for organising the weekend away. I appreciate all the hard work it must have been to organise to make it a fantastic weekend and well worthwhile. (I may now need a holiday to recover!!!)."

"It was a fab weekend and it’ll go down in Rufus history I think, can't wait to see the photos."

"The gorge walking and also the instructors were fantastic, felt very safe with them. Evening entertainment was brilliant..."

"[My best bit]...Being part of a super winning team, of course! Having an opportunity to get to know people that I hadn't previously had much contact with."

"Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the weekend. I enjoyed the tasks that were set on all days and also the evening entertainment. I felt well looked after and confident when performing tasks."

"I do enjoy an element of competition, but the gorge walking was good because it wasn't about individuals or teams winning against each other, but still required us to work together. Everyone was also on a similar level...no-one was already an experienced gorge walker, and although physical strength was an advantage, the jumps were more about bravery and it was really good hearing everyone cheering everyone else on when they were scared of jumping."
